Hello world!
Holy fuck have a I been on an emotional roller coaster lately!
I am over analyzing every single aspect of my life, questioning if I am on the right life path, if I am being good mother/wife/friend, what the future holds. This almost always ends in me beating myself up and crying my eye out.
I am well aware that this is a extremely unhealthy habit, and quite possible a mental illness that I need to address.
I am generally a uplifting person who gives great advice & helps others always stay positive. I don’t know why I just cannot take my own advise. >> Face Palm!
That being said – I challenge ALL of you (and myself especially) – depressed or not to to take 10 minutes today and make a list of positive things about yourself. Even silly things that people have complemented you on and you brushed off.
Put this list in a spot were you can constantly see it, this self conflicted mental abuse has got to stop-TODAY! The only thing in the way of happiness is your own thoughts! I hope this practice can help each of you who need it.
Below is my list which I will keep on my computer desk in plane site.

Amy :Focus on the good things! Talk to yourself the same way you would your best friend!
- You are beautiful!! Inside & Outside.
- You are kind – You spread joy like sunshine. Don’t stop at yourself!
- You are a great Mother – Especially for not having one to help you learn what to do!
- You are a STRONG WOMAN! Physically & Mentally!
- You have overcome more at 30 that some do their whole life!!
- You are a hard worker – it is okay to have some down time!! You deserve a break!
- It is okay if you don’t “have it all together” – Most people never do!
- You love to dance & sing, paint, garden – go do those things! (Cue – Happiness)
- You probably have one of the cleanest houses in the US with 6 people & 2 dogs! Sit down and relax!
- You are smart & you will do anything you put your mind to!
